A Trump supporting, science denying, deaf person demands that people shouldn't wear masks because it persecutes the deaf person's ability to read people's lips.
Hence they cannot function in society.

An email from my audiologist at the beginning of all this let me know that there are face masks made for the deaf and hard of hearing that have clear panels over the mouth. As an aside. I did take some classes on Deaf Culture and hate that I got derailed from the path. Some of us can't read facial expressions (or we misread them so often that it's a bad idea to try)! I rely on verbal language.
