Due to staff shortages, I am picking up extra hours this weekend even though it's my weekend to be off.

It’s always a bad idea to put your favorite coffee mug in dishwasher instead of washing it by hand—otherwise you have to wait for over an hour before you can brew your coffee.

Yes, they do. 

I don’t have your particular problem, though, as I’m fortunate enough to own more than one coffee mug.

It’s been my experience that coffee tastes the same out of any mug. 

I mean, unless the mug is made out of liver or soap or something.

Can't argue with that logic.  Since I don't drink coffee I don't have to worry about accidentally grabbing a liver mug out of the cabinet.

So, I got enlisted to make the mac n cheese for Thanksgiving...granddaughter told her mother to not even try.

Then I got the task of making the mashed potatoes.

Today I almost got the job of cooking the turkey...because I make better gravy.

Not sure how this is happening since I handed over the reins of Thanksgiving meal prep to my daughter a couple years ago...they are trying to put it back on me, dish by dish...the bums.

I have not had a McDonald’s quarter pounder in a very long time—probably 20 years or so. I just had one today. It was great. My contemplation over whopper Jr. continues though. But KFC is certainly next in line.

I seriously should have been more thankful of the worry free lifestyle of my 20’s.

  I went and counted one time just to get an idea about our coffee mug count. We have 50+, just in the house. Then there are the xmas, Thanksgiving, whateverthefuckthatholidayis, places of interest, etc. We have close to a hundred mugs around here. If my wife pre-deceases me, there are going to be multiple 30-yard dumpsters in front of my house until that tonnage is gone. I could give them to the Goodwill or something, but I cruise those places for used furniture to cut up for new projects, because that wood is cheaper than new wood; it's also older and has tighter grain. They have coffee mugs everywhere, too!
