Top 5 Personal Worst Pathogen Sick

RE: Top 5 Personal Worst Pathogen Sick
^I forgot about mono. Had that in the mid 80s. I was a single mom of two and the best I could manage was to get my older daughter fed and off to school in the morning. Put the toddler in bed with me with things to eat and drink, turned on the TV and slept pretty much all day. I don't recall much about pain or fever or anything but I have never been so damn tired in my life.

I get common colds that can make me feel as though I am dying, because I am a weak baby.

The one time I got covid, the only symptom was a high fever.

I had measles mumps and chickenpox as an adult, I felt sickest with measles I couldn't move, even lifting an arm was an effort, mumps was the most painful and with chickenpox I had horrible nausea. Not fun.

Chickenpox can present as shingles later in life and that's the least fun of them all.

Having Covid, i'd been immunised.
The first time, coughing and being unable to take a breath for a bit, I thought it likely I was going to die.
I spent a couple of days staying awake, spitting to avoid a fluid build up and triggering near death cough experiences.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Indeed. Got shingles in '97. That hurt almost as much as my ruptured appendix in '74, and a perforated intestine in '96. I had 3 surgeries for one appendix and its outfall. Cumulative time in the hospital >2 months.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
