We had local radio stations 'convert' to all christmas on Nov 1.

You know, it wouldn't be quite as soul-suckingly horrifying if there were a larger catalog of hideous pop xmas trip on the airwaves. As it is, after the 100th time I'm abused by the obnoxious refrains of "All I Want for Xmas" (and it only take a few days, tops) I'm ready to start a multi-state killing spree that only stops when I get taken down.
No, not really, but I can see where some poor soul could be driven to it.

I only listen to a local news and weather station when in my car. I still listen to CDs when I have heard the repeats often enough or on weekends when I just don't give a damn about Dave Ramsey.
After 17 years in this area, you would think I would have been able to find a music radio station I could stand.

The memes about 'All I want for Xmas' are all over the place. Just the thought of that song makes me want to drive ice picks into my ears.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

If I hear Springsteen's version of "Santa Claus in Coming to Town" once more, I will hire Joe Pesci to take a ball-peen hammer to his fingers.

A Christmas Karen
Quote:Karen is an entitled middle-aged woman whose demanding nature has alienated her neighbors and family. After a series of instances displaying her privilege and prejudice, she receives an "intervention" by some unconventional spirits.
