Major Step Forward For The Hearing Impaired
Smart Gloves Translate Sign Language Into Audible Speech

Quote:25-year-old inventor, Roy Allela, is using his passion for modern technology to change lives – literally.

The tech enthusiast and data science tutor at Oxford University has invented smart gloves called to make communicating with the deaf community effortless.

Allela was inspired to create the gloves after experiencing first-hand how difficult it was to communicate with his 6-year-old niece, born deaf.

“My niece wears the gloves, pairs them to her phone or mine, then starts signing, and I’m able to understand what she’s saying,” Allela said.

And not from watching Congo?

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
