2024 Six Nations Rugby, Anyone?

2024 Six Nations Rugby, Anyone?
Guinness Six Nations kicks off this weekend.

France and Ireland on Friday (3:00p ETUSA)
England and Italy (9:15a Saturday)
Wales and Scotland (11:30a Saturday)

If I had to choose one match to watch it would be France v Ireland, though the Welsh and Scots will be a decent game, too.

I don't care!
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!

I wouldn't recognize rugby if a game broke out in my backyard.

It’s easy to recognize - rugby players have oddly shaped balls.

Nations? My first thought was like Navajo or Lakota, but that would be more like lacrosse.

The Algonquians, Tatnuck Nipmuc in particular, would be my team to support!

My childhood neighborhood was "Tatnuck." The Algonquian word, tatnuc, signifies a balanced rock - a landmark in the woods off my street growing up. One thing my old man knew about was the legends of the Tatnuck People. The balanced rock eventually split, and was a site of high school drinking parties before its significance became better known. We kids used to dig for arrowheads. I never got one but my buds did. Damn I wanted to find one!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
