Carter has always appeared to be a good guy, not plagued by scandal.

I am not sure he was cutthroat enough for national politics. Luckily, it didn't seem to destroy him. He kept to the personal standards he brought to the White House.
If more Christians were Jimmy Carter-type Christians, I'd have a better view of Christianity.

I'd love a peek at an alternate universe where Carter was re-elected. I have the feeling they live in a much better place than us.
