Cool, a different question got a response other than a pre-programmed one; let's try something else then...

How would any given individual prove that they are not delusional?

By not believing in, or having imaginary friends, is a good start.

Everyone is delusional every night when they sleep and dream. Our dreams aren't real, yet we act as if they are in many ways, at least while we are asleep. In waking, we have the advantages of being in the real world with more of our brain functions operating correctly. We would not have survived the evolutionary process if our perceptions were too far off the mark in most instances.

However, as complex human beings we all operate by any number of inherited assumptions which may be incorrect, especially when we are children. Typically teenagers start questioning such assumptions, almost compulsively.

One solution to the human dilemma of prejudice and miscomprehension is twofold. First, we can go by general probabilities. Anything that contradicts well-tested information is unlikely. Second, we can try to minimize our intellectual lives so we don't entertain too many unlikely elaborations from the most obvious and well-established facts.

Atheists generally go by both methods. We reject as improbable whatever contradicts careful science and scholarship, and we do not entertain many unnecessary elaborations. So we don't believe in God because we see nothing to support the concept and because we consider it unnecessary. For instance, we use philosophy rather than religion to work out our ethics, and science rather than mythology to understand the origin of the world we inhabit.

Yes, we all inhabit worldviews which can be incorrect. That's why we all should be careful to do our homework.

That's hard to believe when you keep on repeating the same question despite it having been answered twice.

No one is asking you to believe they are; stop deflecting.

Good answer; I meant a bit more interpersonally but that is 100% on me for not being more specific - wasn't expecting an answer from them and your solution is precisely the same as mine.

Fair; I have problems with using either philosophy or science as a basis for ethics or as a immovable stone of knowledge, but that is a perfectly valid worldview to hold and we are all free to come to different conclusions from the evidence.

That wouldn't prove they aren't delusional, just that they don't hold a singular delusion - I can believe in a round Earth while still believing the Universe circles the Earth, for example.

Are you done deflecting like a child or do you truly have your face that far up your own ass?

How do you know you aren't delusional?

By always basing belief on sufficient objective evidence, and remaining dubious of claims where there is none or insufficient, by always keeping an open mind, and like the scientific method, always being prepared to discard any belief, in the light of new evidence that demands it.

Second person I'm gonna praise for giving the perfect answer.

Purple swirl, at least two others understood the question - I promise, it's not that hard nor is it some gotch'ya, it really was - like many other questions I've asked you - that easy.
