I saw that enough Democrats crossed over to make this so. I hope some sort of insurance like the ACA is still around.

I saw that enough Democrats crossed over to make this so. I hope some sort of insurance like the ACA is still around.

The Democrats caved (I called it wrong). There is no guarantee for an extension of the ACA subsidies, but the Republicans have ‘promised’ to schedule a vote on the matter, but the outcome for that is far from certain.

That's what is worst about this for me -- as my country marches into disaster, I feel like I am becoming politically more and more nihilistic. For much of my life I've found purpose in either serving the nation or at least caring about it. Nowadays, I don't know ...

Man, the temptation these last few years has been strong. Y'all wanna die, great, fuck off and bark at the Moon. Just leave me the Hell out of it. Their refusal to do so, their insistence on dragging me and my family down into their Gotterdammerung, makes me want to find a place where I can sit safely and enjoy schadenfreude. I feel safe in the ocean. It only has sharks.

Just contacted my doctor to try to get refills of some meds before my insurance cluster becomes an even bigger fuck.
