Science is the study of the universe. Studying creation is a way to better know the creator. Science is what brings us closer to understanding God.

You answered your own question.

I would agree with all that from my own belief

Why God? Why not leave it at science?
Is God understood from the material? Or is God bigger?
How do you explain the connection of metaphysical and physical in the creation?
(pick and choose from what's relevant to you)

We do.

God is not understood at present.

There is no such thing as the "metaphysical" or "the supernatural". I believe all things can potentially be understood.

O I see now.

Well anything's possible I suppose. It's hard enough to accept the idea of one God ... I think I'll leave the idea of multiple gods to someone else. Wink Shades

So "closer too" makes no sense then?

Ah - so you're saying that God is entirely physical.

So... why do you need God for beginnings? Why not just call them beginnings, and adopt the latest scientific theory?

I love what you said here:
"Studying creation is a way to better know the creator. Science is what brings us closer to understanding God."

There seems to be a lot of truth in it. I just feel you then flush it down the toilet from there on in. Sad

Even if someone perceives such a connection - How do you explain a connection to something whose existence isn't even verifiable? You can't.

At best the argument can be nothing more than personal conjecture. (As it is for me)

Besides, it will always come back to the same old adage ... "prove it."

Which is a valid challenge, and unless God decides to show up some day in a fiery chariot, is never going to happen.
