Religion will dramatically shrink

The OP appears to be engaged in an activity know as "wishing while high"
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Thank you, One friend told me I'm an optic/holic, that’s like being drunk on turning people and things around to envision them to become better. Just look at the hard times in the bible, Jesus would have been a very old man that died at age 33. I don't understand why it has taking so long to adjust to less suffering in life. It's not that hard to predict Religion shrinking because of their unstable translations and contradicting behavior.
Even though i really would like to see the downfall of religions, i really doubt its going to happen anytime soon. Just because some christians lost their belief doesn't mean its all going to end in a couple of decades. On the other side, Islam is gaining followers like lady gaga's facebook page. What i'm concerned is about Europe and N.America, especially US and UK. Conversion of christians to other religions like Islam is accelerating every year.
I said this just to point out that there's much happening outside christianity, that while some Christians lose their belief, some choose another. I'm an atheist, but sometimes i even doubt if religions will disappear completely from our culture. Its a nice prediction, something we all like to see happen, but sadly its not going to happen. Religion has already dramatically shrunk from 100 years ago. Religion will always be with us, yet just not in the majority 20 years from now, like it today. Just ask the majority of the people anywhere on the western world streets today. Most will tell you deep down they are somewhat spiritual rather than religious. Most Christian believe, most people will go to hell, if you are a so so type Christian, why even bother when a Christian majority country like USA and their behavior is more like Sodom and Gomorrah than anywhere else. Not a great way to get to heaven with, anyways A greater awareness will finally come to light
I would love to see that happen, but I say that we'd be lucky to have a 50/50 theist to atheist population in this country in 20 years. Religion is just way too ingrained into people for them to give it up that easily. And just wait until all the Duggar children start having families of their own...
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
I think religion will be with us for a long time if not forever.
It will change, new ones will arise, current ones will die. I don't see it going away
I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.
Jimi Hendrix I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not. About 20 years until most of third world countries population has changed and has doubled or tripled our first world economic growth. When you mix all the couloirs from all the races, it comes out the couloirs brown that will be another big change in the future. Any group would be delighted to double in size within 20 years , I have Atheists down around 6% of the world populations, Religion will only shink.
You know what? I get the feeling you are right too. I think 100 years from now religion will be less of a force than it is even today.
A broken clock is right at least once every day.
