Whatever happened to

I call bullshit. Playing DnD with a group of friend while high takes me into the alternate universe as well as any computer game (of which I usually am blazed as well).

Plus, I've yet to see a game (sorry Mass Effect) that can accurate handle the high speeches I have to give as the charismatic ambassador to our usual enemy monsters. Most of the time, they react with confusion.

GM was fucking awesome.

Our last game was involved Poison Ivy, those bee-guys from Venture Bros and Diver-man; a small army-guy sized action figure from the local toystore.

Oh, did I mention that we made most of the enemies out of clay and painted them? Big Grin

And I've had quite a few adventures as another friend GM's his Warhammer 40K story RPG called 'Inquisitor Zen and Friends'.

I've doomed two planets to the warp, once because I failed to neutralize the gene stealer infestation in time and pulled an astropath out his box /after/ I slew the local chaos cults and took a crap on them.

Notation: drugs probably pull you from 'reality' moreso than any game, book, movie, or spaghetti noodle.

Anyway... I agree that it is just as able to pull you into it as a computer game. What this entire thread has been about is people suggesting that it is *far* superior to such. It's not. The difference is in the person who wields the tool: not the tool itself.

Don't be silly... I'd play parallel to your group. If I travel with you it is because we are headed to the same place.

Or perhaps I want to. Obviously sex would be involved in that case. Wink

I also have a tendency to play against a group at times. All depends on what way they are going compared to me... and if we happen to be close Smile

There was an explosion of cool and they all died.

No I'm not... don't be ridiculous. I make sense to you and you should have your sanity checked.

I do what I can to make reality simpler... not my fault most people are all caught up in their own confusion so that they don't register reality Sleepy

Or maybe it is.
