Does anyone here have any references

to published work by any currently tenured history professors who have made the argument that Jesus didn't exist. I am aware of lot of the popular arguments, but I could use some references, if they are available.

The idea goes way back to the French Revolution, Orog, when the church was seen as a part of the problem enhancing the nobility's oppression of the people.
It developed further as noted here:

I understand that. My question is is there anyone in academia (particularly in the field of history) who currently argues that Jesus was not a real person, and if so, who?

you can watch "Zeitgeist: The Movie", the first part of the movie talks about the Jesus myth.

part of the movie is just borderline paranoia, but its a good documentary & provides excellent ideas, especially the third one.
yes I know its been criticized, but why listen to those criticisms? the first part of the documentary about the Jesus myth is absolutely true, & there's nothing bogus about it.
"The God Who Wasn't There" is also about the Jesus myth.
