No problems with atheism then...

You say that as if atheism were a movement, with goals and objectives. It isn't. It is simply a label given to the state of lacking belief in deities. I do not believe that god(s) of any kind exist. It isn't possible for that to "have problems".

Sorry. Not buying it.

Then god guy should have used it in his argument against Paul, not as a response to me.

Atheism is merely the denial that you have shown your 'god' ( or any god) is anything more than a figment of some primitive goat fucker's imagination.

In this, atheism is CORRECT, Rayaan. All you can muster to support your "belief" is more belief. You should understand by now that "belief" doesn't cut it.

for a guy who claims to be an atheist - he sure seems to have a real problem with atheism. It's just odd.

What is it with people needing to classify, categorize, label and otherwise pigeon-hole atheism anyway?

Did you vote on the poll?

I voted but then I removed it again because even though I have a problem with atheism, others do not, and neither of it means that there is a 'problem' with atheism itself (as Paul the Human said).

As far as I know there is no law that forbids atheists from self-examination of our own belief structure, including the problems that may (or not) be inherent in that structure. Yet is precisely that specific activity which appears to be being resisted here, and not by religious bigots but by so-called atheists themselves.

I suspect many atheists are extremely uncertain of their position, which would explain why you are all so reluctant to enter into a discussion of the problems of atheism. If you were really sure of your position, you would be happy to enter into an open and frank discussion. All this prevarication indicates to me that your belief in your own arguments is really pretty thin. I suggest that the fact is that (unlike me), underneath it all you are pretty awed by the condition of your own existence, and live in perpetual fear that you may be wrong and terrified of the potential of Holy veangence being wrought upon you.

If that ain't the case, and I'm wrong, how's about proving it by getting on with the discussion rather than all this side-tracking?

Atheism does not include a "belief structure". There's the problem... and it lies with you.

That's because, if I am not totally off base, this is a troll that has been banned from these forums on numerous occasions. He used to go by "Godhead".

I'm not selling. I'm telling. I vehemently object to the implication I am a liar and demand an apology.

God, you should just tell us what your belief structure is, and how it's a problem for atheism, rather than us all waiting with baited breath for this thread to collapse.

Haha! I suspected before... but now I am nearly positive. You never could fool me, Godhead.
