First you need to understand the character of God. The apostles said essentually "Do not sin... but if you do God is faithful and just to forgive you". Jesus said when asked how many times should we forgive some one if they come to us asking for forgiveness, the disciple asked "is it seven times" to which Jesus replied "not seven times but seventy times seven" - meaning unlimited. In the old testiment God said "I don't delight in the death of the wicked ... so turn and live", in the New testiment he said "God desires that none should perish but all should come to repentance". And what is repentance esentually it is understanding that God actually does love you, care for you, and want the best for you. And as I have shown above through scripture he is not a) wanting people to God to hell, b) he is willing to forgive any sin, no matter how many times they commit it, as long as you change your heart and attempt to stop sinning. Some times even sin get distorted and people think they have to stop living to serve God, but that is not true, he actually wants to enrich peoples life here on earth, and I am not talking about money, but rather having enjoyment in life. One of the wisest men in the bible said "Ecc 8:15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun." Now this obviously does not mean getting off your face on drugs or alchahol down at the night club, but there is nothing wrong with night clubs of them selves, we actually would like to start one up, so young people can have fun together in a safe environment, one with out violence and drinking, but with the same atmosphere of music fun and dance, like a hook up joint for Christians. Any way back to your question.
What about the other place hell, well the bible says it is impossible for God to lie, so when he talks about hell, either he is lying about it being impossible for him to lie, or there is a hell. The bible says "It is appointed for man to die once and then face judgment". God is not easily angered, as the bible says "His compassions fail not, his mercies are new every morning", so each day you get up, no matter what you did the day before, you can start out a fresh. He is not one to focus on judgment, but if some one really wants to get God full of wrath, by seeing his care love and compassion for them, but still wanting to hurt people, and steal, rob, murder, kill, have sex with other peoples wives, then he is not going to let them off the hook. Why, well they are truely evil, and he says "Evil will not dwell with me", and "You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell." - Psalm 5:4

Ok well what would you do? I said God showed amazing miracles, essentually said "here I am", then told moses "I am removing them only becase they murder their own children in burning fire in the name of a false god, and perform all sorts of perversion", and he let people live who repented, take rahab the prostitute as an example.
