Inverted Cross
September 25, 2011 at 10:00 pm
(This post was last modified: September 25, 2011 at 10:00 pm by ohdamnit.)
So I'm like getting an inverted (upside down) cross tattooed on my wrist but I have a dilemma.
Which way do I face it.
Do I get it facing me so that it's inverted to me but to others its facing the correct way OR get it the correct way so everytime I look at it I see a cross but others see it as inverted.
HELP.

I would do it so it's inverted to everyone else. You know what it means, but everyone else would just think it's a Jesus tribute.

Er....are you getting it to symbolize something to yourself or are you doing it to basically say "fuck you" to others? If the former - do it so it's enjoyable to your eyes. If the latter, reconsider getting it at all.

Why the fuck would you want to wear the brand of a bunch of goat fuckers when you can align yourself with any other of the millions of brands possible?

This is just my opinion, but I always think "pussy posing as a tough guy" when I see upside down cross tattoos. I know a guy who has one on his neck. He's a pussy. Just saying.
I'll answer anyway. Most forearm tattoos run top to bottom, the same as your arm. Therefore, the long part of the cross should be closer to your forearm and the short part closer to your hand. This goes for any tattoos on the arm, so do not take my advice as suggesting you should actually get this tattoo.

Get something that cannot be confused as a symbol of allegiance. Remember: Xtians are, by and large, ignorant and mouthy; get that tat and prepare to spend more time than ever trying to explain to them that you are NOT one of them.

It's so cliche - couldn't you come up with a better "fuck Christianity" idea?
I mean, the very act of getting ink pisses off Jews and some Christians. Why not get something more meaningful and beautiful? It's living art, dude, branded onto your skin. Don't waste it on the religious.
