My opinion - origin of the universe?
RE: My opinion - origin of the universe?
What you believe makes you unlearned, regardless of what anyone else believes.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So, because I dont believe what YOU believe I am unlearned? How arrogant of you. You dont believe what I believe and I haven't intimated that YOU are ignorant. You just cant have a civil discussion can you ElDinero. You have to resort to insults.
You obviously haven't learned anything thing about WHAT people on here believe. You misquote it so much and get offended when anyone corrects you. Are you seventy or seven?
If I die and god is real, im so screwed.

It was a story with a simple premise. Don't take everything at face value, even if it looks like everyone else around you believes it. Question things.

It has nothing to do with beliefs, its a simple method of testing hypothesis's.When lack of evidence is there to support your hypothesis the logical explanation is your hypothesis needs to be altered, to fit data.

The title of your thread is "My Opinion - origin of the universe."

Your first post states, in its entirety:

Quote:Hopefully, I'm learning how to post in here, but I'm not sure yet so I guess you will let me know if I'm doing it wrong still.

I am of the opinion that the universe was created by intelligent design. That a Supreme Being created the universe out of nothing.

I would like to hear your opinions.

In regards to point #1, you have demonstrated that you have learned nothing about how to post.

#2 indicates that you are an ignorant twit who believes in fairy tales.

#3 is a lie. You want to hear no opinions but your own or other bible-thumping idiots.

If you say so it must be true.

No offense, Stucky (although it probably will sound a lot like it), but after reading some of this thread it seems your debating skills are not really polished enough for this conversation to go anywhere: you fail to formulate and argue towards a particular argument, avoid or dismiss many remarks while making the same kind of remarks and demanding them to be considered...

I mean up to page 6 of this thread (havnt read the whole thing) not a single argument was formulated other than 'god of the gaps" ID arguments that are at the lowest level of argument possible. Do not get angry with us for reacting strongly to this type if argument: the simple fact that you assume these arguments have any value for us is an insult to our intelligence.

I'm sorry if this is because of psychological issues (although i'm probably doing an ad hominem by saying that, if so i apologize), but your posts are very unclear and hard to follow...

Thanks for your reply Rwandrall, that's why I'm leaving. I'm not on an intellectual level with you guys here. My God said that intellect is a hindrance to faith and He's correct. It's easier for a child to get into Heaven than an intellectual because they think they are smarter than the Creator of the universe. Not an insult, just a fact. I admire intellect but feel sorry for intellectuals that think they are too smart to "fall for" God's Word.

Your god is not real. That's your preacher talking. He's brainwashing you into not thinking for yourself. Seriously, if you really think 'your god' gave you a brain then fucking use it.

Just the same old abusive sarcasm and nonsubstantial response dude.

Whats a fact? Heaven, your creator? Evidence?
