Theist here with some queeries

Does anyone know what that bit about the shape of the Sun suggesting the Earth doesn't orbit it was all about? Everything else - apart from Darwin's henchmen - was the usual crap, but that Sun-thing was baffling to me.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That will never hold up in court...

Unless my understanding of physics is horribly misinformed, there shouldn't be a bit of difference regardless of who orbits who. (And frankly, depending on your point of view, you could visualize the sun orbiting the earth, it's just not a very simple and elegant model. Everything's relative.) Quote:I am a Roman Catholic. I was schooled in a Roman Catholic school. Grew up in a Roman Catholic household and will die a Roman Catholic. A Catholic? I don't believe you. I come from a devout Catholic family and also attended Catholic schools. I was taught evolution matter-of-factly,as science. The Church has no problems with evolution. Your questions indicate a profound ignorance about evolution. That situation can be simply and easily remedied by either Googling "evolution": and "Darwin" or by going into a school or public library. I really could not care less if you are too lazy or too stupid to do either of those things. I find it hard to believe anyone with enough brains to find their way here could be as ignorant and as stupid as your post suggests. I therfefoer think you'er a Troll or a Poe. The name doesn't help either way; ignorant/stupid and Troll Both fit. Go away.
Somehow I don't think he'll be back. Here endeth the prophecy.

And here I thought that trolling is a art.. Obvious troll is obvious. Seriously, don't they have any finesse nowadays?
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
Dying in the Roman Catholic Church .... I can't think of anything more horrifying. Even Catholics themselves believe that you have to pray your dead loved ones into heaven. Better hope you don't live to be 100 and everyone who ever loved you is dead first. jesus-goddamn-fuckin-christ-on-a-saltine-cracker. Where do these people come from? |
