HELP! PC problem
First, I'm thrilled with my new pc and actually love Windows 7 (I buyed a book)

There is an irritating problem:

A small gap, about 3cm appears at the top of the screen when ever I open a window, any window, including normal windowin ANY media player.

Wallaper is fine, appearing in full screen,so it is no the resolution.

It disappears if I switch to the browser to full screen mode, (as opposed to maximised). Display mode is correct. Cannot correct it by dragging.

Tried a system restore.

Chkdsk

Have spent bloody hours looking for a solution.

Could it be a driver? I according to 'Slimdrivers' I have 17 out-of-date drivers, including NVIDIA GeforceGT520 (video card)

I'm loathe to mess around with that driver until I'm as sure as I can be the existing driver is causing the problem.

There you go then, you need to update your video driver(s)

Did you try "grabbing" the top of the window and pulling it upwards?

Yeah or maximizing the windows. It should fill out the screen. Double click on the top bar of the window.
