Aleoaloura I think you are right about your brother being gay. Not to mention he being is in deep denial about it. I met this one young man once who was a Christian and I swore was gay. However he decided to be celibate instead.

I've asked him. He swears he's straight. All his besties back him up on that, but admit they've never seen him with a girl, and he's still a virgin.

Should I give a fuck? He gets really really depressed sometimes, and won't talk about what is bothering him to anyone. I feel like it's all coming from his religious based guilt from being a homosexual, but I don't know if I should press the issue, or leave it alone.

Just let him know that you are there if he has ANY problems and just wants to talk.

That is all you can do as he is old enough to tell you it is none of you business.

I do accept him as he is. I am worried about his mental health. He's a fundamental christian, very close with his fundy family, and the only thing I am making my business is his well-being. He's severely depressed. Do you have any idea how many gay people kill themselves over shit like this? I love him and I'm worried about him. I don't care if he likes to fuck bowls of warm spaghetti while wearing a ball gag, watching Quantum Leap... just as long as he was happy.

He might be asexual. If he hasn't been seen with either men or women, maybe he just isnt attracted to anyone. I have an asexual friend, so maybe that's it.

Alei, if I were you, I'd concentrate more on breaking religious guilt he might hold in his head rather than worrying about making him "accept" himself - whatever it is. Slowly leading him to realizing that he won't be eternally judged for being himself will do a lot more for relaxing him - although I can't give a tit's worth of advice on how he'll get around the fundy family. Mine just give me the silent treatment when I'm a bad girl. Somehow I doubt Christians are willing to be so hands-off.
