That's funny. So, do they think the accountants will go to hell for them since the accountants are the ones cooking the books, or do they do that because they don't want their fellow Mormon accountants figuring out how little they actually give?
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

They are just hiding money from the church. From what I understand being "a Mormon in good standing" is very beneficial. It can cause the police to turn a blind eye to some of the things you do. I assume it's also a social status thing.
Naturally any accountant who is not a Mormon is going to hell regardless of whether they have cooked any book or not (for those who don't know me, I am being sarcastic here). I assume that if the Mormon client gets caught he can blame the infidel though. After all infidels are evil.
"Infidels are evil" I still haven't gotten over how funny that is. I love ironies. Yeah life!!
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
