Ah! A historical retrospective of the Bush administration. Should be good.

I really do not want to self-publish. If a publisher picks up your book, they do all of the pain in the ass stuff that I hate to do. I also prefer print books to ebooks. That being said, I would do it with a future book if I loved it enough that I had to share it.

As it stands, I am putting the book away for 2 months, I will then finish the second draft, edit and see where I stand then.

Thanks for all of the congratulations. It has been a crazy few weeks. I had no idea I would actually finish it.

I love e-ink. It reads every bit as nice as a page, and I can take a library with me anywhere I go. My philosophy on e-readers comes from a friend who teaches English and who reads more in a week than I do in a month. He maintains, correctly, I think, that most books we buy are read only once, after which they are either stuck on a shelf, given or lent to someone else, or traded in. He (and I, now) buy books on our e-readers. If the book is grand and a definite re-read or conversation piece, the hardback copy of it will be bought. If the book is merely a time-passer, no harm, no foul. I value my Kobo reader.

I know the draw for them, it's just a personal goal, at this point. I have a few friends who have print published, but it is all non-fiction. I do non-fiction all day, every day. I don't give a crap if it's online or in print, but I want to print publish fiction at least once.

Not sure what you mean when you say " I could give a crap if it's online or in print?"

Good luck with getting your fiction print published, I'm sure you will achieve it.

I rarely read books these days (or e-books), too busy reading forums and following links to wikipedia etc.

Sorry. I am multitasking and it took me a minute to re-read and edit what I wrote. I meant that I do not care if my non-fiction work is in print or online.

Aaaah. You couldn't give a crap, don't give a crap etc. It wouldn't sink in at first, I should have known what you meant anyway.
