G'day!

G'day!
Hi everyone! After moving to Oregon from Australia about 3 years ago, I was nauseated by the religiosity of this country (and I only live in Oregon!) Due to this queasy feeling, I founded Advocates for Freethought and Skepticism at Oregon State University and have started reaching out to other local atheists. I thought I’d try my hand at forum posting for the first time and see how it goes!

Welcome. Make sure you get a Facebook Page for your group. I also recommend Meetup, but it's gotten rather expensive since I started my group back in 2004 (now known as Freethough Society of the Midlands), I'm grandfathered in so I pay a lower rate. It does let you do things like search for atheist meetups within 25 miles, though, which is a big plus.
