Ghosts 'n' Goblins Blacksmith
Anyone who's played this game even once will know how true this is...

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

RE: Ghosts 'n' Goblins Blacksmith
Ghosts 'n' Goblins and Ghouls n' ghosts drove me insane as a child.

Why Capcom? Why the ridiculous difficulty? Its like they have no understanding of basic human psychology when it comes to video games and therein, the challenge it offers. The difficulty curve must be gradual for starters. Not forgetting its a fine 'balance' that must be maintained if you want the game to feel rewarding yet fun - make the game too easy or too damn hard and you quash any potential entertainment value.

EDIT: and WHY pray tell does Arthur move at the *exact same speed* with or without a full suit of armour on?

And yet we used to play it for hours at a time in those days, give or take the odd break to replace stomped D-pads. I wouldn't have anything like the patience, or the attention span, to play it now.
