Please learn to read, snowtracks. Crick died in 2004, and was hinky on evolution anyway. Monod died in the 70s.

So you can't name a living evolutionary biologist besides Dawkins (who hasn't done anything except popularize other people's research for decades). So you aren't exactly up on your evolutionary theory. Right-o. Go away now.

actually knew they died but didn't know we were signing a legal document.

Then how have you become convinced that a god exists, and that it is the god that you worship? For at least some of the theists here, personal revelation is an important part of why they believe.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

How do you know?

Quote:quantum amounts of information would have to maintained during the process and used precisely at precise time intervals. just think of all of those busy molecules doing their thing and no one even asked them to.

How do you know, and what's your definition of "information?" Because, that's kind of an airy, vague word.
evolutionary theory is a step by step process. the information from the previously step must be maintained. it like in computer programming, the "if, then, else" type routine is used in the subsequent step of data from the previous step to make decisions. this information grows exponentially with each step.

And rather than that just being the byproduct of life wanting to continue being alive, because that's the success measure for it, by keeping the successes and shucking the failures, you attribute that to magic?

crick (nobel laureate) thought of the beginning of life as a lucky accident that occurred somewhere in the U. so he advanced the theory of directed panspermia which is an approach to explain life's first occurrence on earth as the work of aliens by seeding it with life.

one way is an examination of bible prophecy. hundreds of prophecies have come to pass exactly as stated. in fact the true test of a prophet of God was ('was' since scriptures can not be added to by someone claiming revelation) 100% accuracy... absolutely no errors allowed.

The Temple destruction prophecy
"not one stone here will be left on another" - it's all about the gold

"Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 'Do you see all these things?' he asked. 'I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down'"

background -
Herod the Great ruled Judea for the next 36 years, during which time he began many huge building projects including the building of a new Temple in Jerusalem for the worship of God. From the beginning of the Temple project in 19 B.C., it took 46 years to complete the main building and another 36 years to finish the entire Temple complex. This was a huge undertaking which required a tremendous amount of labor and money. This new temple was said to be a larger and a more beautiful temple than the one that Solomon built.

The historian Josephus said that much of the exterior of the Temple was covered with gold that reflected the fiery rays of the sun. Moreover, he said that, from a distance, the Temple appeared like a mountain covered with snow. This was probably because those parts that were not covered with gold were made of white stone.

Destroyed in 70 A.D.
As soon as the walls were breached on the 9th of Ab in 70 A.D., a Roman military force of about 30,000 troops under the command of Titus marched into Jerusalem and began a systematic slaughter of the Jews and the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem—exactly as Jesus foretold 40 years earlier.

The Romans brutally slaughtered an estimated 600,000 people in Jerusalem including many of the Passover visitors who had been trapped there for the 143 days during the Roman siege. Many of the people who were not killed by Roman soldiers were shipped off to the gladiatorial games, Roman mines, and otherwise exiled from Judea and scattered throughout the Roman empire and other nations. By the year 73 A.D., all traces of a self-ruling Jewish nation had completely disappeared.

Josephus records that the Romans put the city and the Temple to the torch and that these fires were still burning a month later on the eighth day of the Roman month Gorpieus (Jewish month Elul).

The magnificent Temple that Herod had built was completely destroyed as the fires raged inside and out. These fires were so hot that the gold fittings, and the gold gilding inside and on it's outside walls melted and ran into the cracks between and in the stones. During the pillaging of the Temple these stones were broken up to get at the gold. Therefore, fulfilling Jesus' prophecy that no stone would be left on another—the destruction was total, just as Jesus foretold.

Many times prophecy is so easy to 'blame' for events because the prophecies themselves are convoluted and vague.

Nostradamus also has hundreds of fulfilled prophecies...

Could you get a more self fulfilling prophecy? A building from a time of uniformly shitty construction standards will fall? And ooh, no time limit on that either, how convenient.

See, that's the prophecy game; make vague, general statements without instantiating a specific time, and then eventually, something happens in some place at some time that can be spun into a confirmation of that prophecy.

But when the bible actually does give a serious time limit, or details? It doesn't work out so- ahem- miraculously: what do you say about Tyre, Snowy? Prophesied to fall by the hand of a specific foe, and yet it still stands today, and was only ever invaded by someone completely different. A failed prophecy at every conceivable level, and so it's swept under the rug, or spun in the other direction.

And so goes the apologetic game...
