Mt. Soledad cross ordered to be taken down

This is false.

Quote:For fiscal year 2005, more than $2.2 billion in competitive social service grants were awarded to faith-based organizations. Between fiscal years 2003 and 2005, the total dollar amount of all grants awarded to FBOs increased by 21 percent (GAO 2006:43[3]).

Perhaps you should learn more about these things before opining about them?
How do you suppose GC imagines charity happens in countries where Christians are a small minority?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Have you considered making a list of who you really mean to offend at the end of your posts? It would be so helpful, and it looks like it would save you time in the long run.

Like this: Christians wear funny pants to funerals. I only mean GC.

I never indicated anyone except the one to whom I replied. You all need to be less sensitive and read my posts for what they say, period!

Because we send it in, even into countries were Christians are killed just for being a Christian.

Your right I did not know that money was given to faith base organisations, however not all faith base organisations are Christian. That amount of money is not even close to what the Christian churches give to Christian organisations to help the people in need. Also the government wouldn't be able to help as we do without raising your taxes. I just do not understand why people get offended by Christians doing good things and relieving the burden on the public, strange just strange.

I don't understand why you impute "offense" when all I'm doing is correcting you on an obvious misstatement of fact. Are you always this defensive about your charity? Why is that?

Nor did I say all FBOs are Christians. I will, however, go on record as saying that if you need an invisible guy in the sky telling you to do right by other people, then keep your religion. Whatever it takes to get you to think about something other than your own fate, I'm cool with it.

Me, I don't need that higher power to know that I should rise above myself. Whatever. If you need it, use it.

Let the government put up a huge billboard that says "There is no God, Christians can suck it" on public lands visible from your window and see if you feel the same.

I don't see you, KevinM1, doing anything in those areas, Christians braver than you.

I accepted your correction and then pointed out that not all the money was going to Christian organisations, what's wrong with that, just was making sure no one thought all that money went to Christian organisations. I know how people like to read things into a conversation around here.

Like I said above making sure others understood, some around here come into this place with blinders. I do not have to worry about my fate, Christ is my savior and I'm secure in this. if all I was worried about was my fate I certainly wouldn't be here.

You say you should, but how much do you actually do.

This is the third post you've had to make telling others they're being too sensitive. Maybe you're just painting with too broad a brush.
