He just called now. Told me how awesome of a time they were having at his company. I told him he should either tell me why he wants me or I'm going to hang up in a calm tone. He said that he wanted me to fill in some position for a programmer. I told him that I've already found a job and although it was chill for him to offer me I'm gonna have to pass. He was like "okay bro I just wanted to share this opportunity with you, we have engineers from all around the world,I just thought I'd help you out, if you don't want it then it's not a problem for me." I told him that it is more satisfying for me to get a job out of my own merit rather than through a help from a friend. Not to mention there's an ego thing involved , I'm sure as hell not going to work for him,not even work with him (someone I know is quite dim up there) I might even not take the offer if my job was to supervise him. Then later he puts this dp on Whatsapp
"they watch, they hate then they copy" -millionaires saying.
And puts his status as "if you work hard you'll be better than everybody, you don't need anyone Bla Bla Bla"
Haha.
I texted him good luck and deleted him from Whatsapp.
This is how we should deal with assholes from our past.

Good for you, my man.
My take:
He sees you being successful, he only wanted to show you that he's "successful" too, for his own ego. Fuck him. Watch his "incredible opportunity" go belly up, then offer him a job 10 years down the line as a janitor or a call representative. Tell him you just wanted to "share this incredible opportunity with him."
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I have actually, I told him I already have a gig going on and I'll pass on his modest offer. He made some passive aggressive remarks on how awesome engineers they have from all around the world and not having me wouldn't name a difference. He then proceeded to go on social media and threw another passive aggressive rage fit. Thanks for trying be of help though thump appreciate it

Yeah, I was originally suggesting that you tell him to send a contract offer to you for legal review, because that will usually cow bullshit artists.

Also, I think it's good for you to cut your own course. It's never any good to owe anything to anyone who would use you so transparently without a legal agreement.

Absolutely. He probably just want to save some money and get me to build him something and then after I've built it for him kick me out. It's always more satisfying to get jobs from my own merit. It kinda pissed me off the first time that this dude that barely passed out who boasted how he don't needed those stupid books because his dad can buy him a whole business, wanted me to work for him. I have no idea why he entertained that idea at all,it was insulting to say the least, fucking dipshit. I don't wish him ill though, he have my best wishes, but that dude got out of the friend sector to a purely business sector long ago,and I have no intention of being anyone's bitch. I think i handled the situation well,I didn't get angry at him, I just talked him pure business and politely declined his offer. Good luck to that dude anyways.

Well, he probably entertained the idea that he could hire you because his dad can buy him a business. People with money are used to buying what they need, and that includes other people.
