It means it's less about christianity, and more about the mental health of those doing the extreme things.

You've chosen to blame mental illness for the death of this child. Given the promises that Jesus made regarding the efficacy of prayer, why must one be insane to believe that the creator of the universe could be compassionate enough to spare a child from suffering and death?

And given an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God, why on earth should mental health be a contributing factor to suffering in the first place?

Refusing to obtain medical treatment for a desperately ill child is no different than putting a bullet in that child's brain.

Can you imagine being a termintally ill Christian child? Being helpless to determine your fate, beset by pathological infirmaties while the adults in your life placate their emotions with the most infantile, asinine bulltshit, insensitive to your suffering?

I can't even say what it would like to do to those losers. Belief in God is a mark of shame.

Yes, I blame mental illness of the parents over the child's death, because merely being a christian hasn't kept most parents from getting their children medical attention when needed. I don't think the religion by itsself is to blame for this much extreme behavior. There has to be other contributing factors.

What i would like to do to them, besides charge them with criminal negligence, is make sure they are never around children again.
