Many originators of religions/belief systems etc base it off of their experience of God/Reality they went into the wilderness and fasted/prayed/meditated to receive.

What aspects of consciousness can be "proved" by science? Could you prove I am happy or sad right now? Could you prove the sequence of thoughts that triggered my emotions to be in one state or another? Could you prove I am not faking a reaction by recalling a sad memory on purpose?
There most likely isn't a god.
Just like theirs mostly likely not a pink invisible intangible unicorn behind you that controls the universe through hindsight.
