As if that somehow excuses them in the slightest.
These conservative figures can't take a fucking hint that college students simply don't wish to hear some of them speak, no differently than how many religious universities have students that wish not hear atheists speak. But time and again these assholes throw their weight around, and give their two cents to people that never asked for it. Then they express nothing but contempt for both the university and it's students -- go watch some of the speeches. It's idiotic to go to a place you're not welcome to talk to people you have contempt for, simply because you can; I felt the same way when Obama spoke at Notre Dame. It's unproductive, changes no ones mind, and wastes university money on something the vast majority of the members there had no interest in.
