I wasn't suggesting it was. What counts is the credibility of the charges made against him, as he has denied them, and if his denials are not credible but the charges are, that disqualifies him for the supreme court. His emotional state may speak to his credibility, but not conclusively. Otherwise, mere regret would be an effective denial.
