Then they closed the forums and I moved to the Thinking Atheist, where I posted for another year and a half. I contributed a lot of good material, both in discussions about atheism and about climate change. Now it's all gone, so I'm taking some time off to get my head on straight again and to figure out what to do next. I joined here in May and recently at Atheist Discussion, but haven't decided whether to become a frequent poster again in either. Right now I'm mainly lurking. Both are good forums, so this is more about my individual psychology than about the forums themselves.I am curious:
Thoreauvian: why do you call yourself "Thoreauvian"? Do you like the idea of civil disobedience? Or perhaps not. Maybe you like "nature" or some other shit. My question is: Why did you choose your username?
The more elaborate your answer, the better. And just so you recognize that I'm not being a dick, and that I actually want to know you better, I'll let you know that I consider myself a Thoreauvian. (For "reasons," mainly related to civil disobedience, but also stuff discussed in Walden.)
