I'm hearing that the group's ideology is seeming closer to something called "posse comitatus." It's a practically ancient view that posits that the only legitimate form of government is at the county level and the highest authority the county sheriff. And even if the sheriff doesn't do what they want, it's fair game that: "he shall be removed by the Posse to the most populated intersection of streets in the township and at high noon be hung by the neck, the body remaining until sundown as an example to those who would subvert the law." And no doubt that the "illegitimate" authorities wouldn't fare better. And it looks like a local sheriff who shared the stage with them at an anti-lockdown rally earlier in the year is defending it as an "arrest". Apparently, one of my uncles was part of the movement about 30 years ago, but, thankfully, it doesn't seem like there was any strange fruit on the trees of Kaukauna at that time. The movement more or less split off into the Sovereign Citizen and militia movements around that time, but it's kinda disturbing that it's making a comeback.
Surprisingly, there is one similarity between Posse Comitatus and Antifa: namely, that they're both ideologies and neither are organizations per se.
