An atheist is only a person who does not believe in gods. NOTHING ELSE is implied or may be inferred.
An atheist is just an ordinary person. His atheism does NOT make him a better or happier person. Eg he may well be an angry,miserable, paranoid bigot like that Condell fruitcake.
I think you missed the whole point. Without god, a person only has to answer to themselves. There is no second guessing, "What would jesus say?".
