Nothing, being what it is, can have no answer because it is NOTHING. This is why i don't have confidence in your reasoning frodo, when you ask such self-evident questions.

And on the subject of consciousness... it is self-evident to us that we are conscious, and there is plenty of evidence that the brain it seems, is required for consciousness. Now, where is the evidence that consciousness is something separate to the brain in any way? Where is the evidence that it has a specific location or locations in the brain? In other words, where is the evidence that consciousness isn't merely anything more than the workings of the brain? Because, I know of evidence of the brain, and I know of evidence of consciousness (my own self-evidence at least...) - but where's the evidence that consciousness is some additional factor? Can consciousness not be whichever part(s) of the brain are most aware at the current time?
Sorry if I haven't been very clear, I'm having trouble phrasing this, at least at the moment.
