MissLuckie! Welcome!
Is this supposed to be analogous to something Christians believe? If so, you lost me.
Hiya In answer to your question, yes. Why did I lose you?

What? You don’t believe that the historical Jesus existed? Really?
No, I don't. Care to share why you do?

As for the book, I will physically make one, just so we can demonstrate how fucking stupid your objection here is.
Why such hostility? We’re all friends here.
How are his analogy and mine, non cohesive to your beliefs again?

That lineage didn't do much for your ancestor being able to live to be a god did it. Since I'm not Jewish my lineage through the flesh would not lead back to Christ. However because of what He has done and I have accepted, we are like brothers.

Hey I agree we're all brothers and sisters Of course, I'll disown a few who downright want to hurt their fellow man. Did you know mental abuse is equivocal to physical abuse? Unhealthy mentality can cause abnormalities biologically. Were you aware that your bible teaches doctrine that causes unhealthy mental states and is responsible for untold amounts of suicides because of its' very existence and terminology?
Don't feel prosecuted though, if my great great great grand daddy's book told people they could fly with their mind and they jumped off a bridge: I'd disown that one too.
As for my analogy, you really did miss the point didn't you? Lemme fix that for you.
Some guy who has no records pertaining to his existence rose from the dead and absolved all my sins for eternity!
I have pictures of Jesus --oh wait no I don't.
I saw it happen--oh wait, no I didn't.
I heard about it from someone who witnessed---oh wait, no I haven't.
I have irrefuteable proof that he did or can re-animate-- Oh, yeah, nevermind no I don't.
I have scientific proof that the events surrounding gods death geologically happened-- Oh wait, NO I DON'T!
WOW though, right? He must be god, that man. I mean you have a book that says so, and until you can do what I say he did, he's GOD.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
