If you truly spent 3 years on Earth, would you squander your time teaching 12 people who, even after those 3 years of teaching, didn't understand what you were... or would you take a broader approach? You have the benfit of hindsite and yet still you are blind.
Look at what was accomplished by God taking the approach that He did with the 12. Now look at what the 'broader approach' did for Israel. The path of Christianity eventually lead to 'freedom' FROM Religion. The Broader approach empowered a hand full of croupt men to subjugate an entire race of people.
Quote:Try to spend a few millenia; write your own teachings so future generations had access to them; go everywhere in the world, not just a current (at the time) hub of religious confluence; Give a helping hand in the slaughter of the enemies of Israel; Turn the whole world into your playground, where every single human knows you exist and either fears you, or adores you, or is indifferent to your presence, trying to go on with his life in the best of his abilities. So again, do with the gentiles what he did with the jews? Do you not understand God was not happy with how the jews governed themselves? That He did not want them to worship the method of worship? Rather be from from the legalism and methodology? So why would He do the exact same thing with Christianity if it did not work with Judaism?
Quote:Wouldn't that be a tiny bit more reasonable than the story in the NT?Again it completly depended on God's end goal. Your way=Slavery to the religion and religious leaders, God's way=Eventually lead to freedom from religion and a direct relationship with God.
Quote:OH, don't even mention free will, because the apostles had first hand knowledge... and still.... Judas...What are you talking about?
