Never implemented, too cliquey, much abusable.
If you want to defend the 'kinsey scale', you're welcome to. I'll be all too happy to illustrate (for, probably the 3rd-4th time here, at least) why it is a poor system... including the observations that it doesn't account for sexual fluctuancy, its scope is arbitrarily limited to precisely one (segmented) axis, and that it utterly ignores the basis of the net-result it is measuring... coming no closer to understanding *WHY* they hold that 'sexuality', and only succeeding in saying 'hey, at the time they answered this (assuming honesty, with themselves and with the test): they kind of liked girls but were mostly into guys! TAKE 5, GENTLEMEN: that's a wrap!'. It's like a scale on if it will rain today (edit: and how hard it is expected to rain)... but completely ignorant of *WHY IT IS GOING TO RAIN*, what makes it rain hard or soft, the range by which this rain is capable of changing, and if it might hail, snow, sleet, or even steam!
But, you're welcome to give it a shot. This kind of easy 'give them a learning opportunity' thing just doesn't do it for me... nothing big or complex happening here lately (that I know of).

The first portion is me being silly. Sometimes I do that.
The latter is the important bit.

I mean, Janice Raymond often refered to transsexuals as transsexuals, but was incredibly hostile towards us. On the other hand, I've met more than my share of people who call us "Shemale" or "tranny," not out of any hostility, but out of simply not knowing better. Again, labels aren't as important as the context that those labels are used in and what meaning you place on those labels.
As have I... but it remains incredibly unsettling to be called 'a shemale' for me, regardless of intent. I don't mind tranny, usually.
Pornography, and the word of mouth from such, is way too often the only guide on 'what transgendered women are'... but hey, the future is ahead, and there's hope for that to change
