That is best for you. I believe it doesn't matter which path you choose.
You can be an Atheist, Buddhist, Christian, Taoism, Hinduist . . no problem at all.
Quote:To each of you We prescribed a law and a method
Had Allah willed <- meaning, Allah had not willed for one system of life (religion etc), and I acknowledge Allah's will.
He would have made you one nation

while to Him have Islam (أَسْلَمَ)
those within the heavens and earth (ie. everything)
willingly or by compulsion
and to Him they will be returned?

The real issue is not about "religion" or "label", but who and what you really are.

"House" is what I'm asking for confirmation of.
That's what the question "Is there a house?" means.
Confirm what?
You have "no belief" . . . no "subject matter", something "meaningless"
unless. . you acknowledge that "god exists", ie. which means both must be existed in your belief. . .
1. There is no God
2. There is God
(both existed and it this the issue and subject matter of "possibility")
Therefore, part of you . .

and for you to create the "possibility" there is no god, ie. to counter your believe or confirmation that there is "no god".
Else, it is "meaningless". . Be invisible.
No Belief = No Existence. . . and therefore "No Argument"
(similarly, the jury who does not make any decision is not a jury, they are like people at large. . no decision for consideration of the Court and they are not important, meaningless)
