(Which is the only standard God looks for in us.) Since we can not produce righteousness, we must seek it from another source. Thankfully Christ is that other source. When we accept His atonement, we trade our sin for His righteousness. So when God looks at us He see not our sin as it was nailed to the cross, but the righteousness of Christ.

Ah being moral won't do but being righteous will? Please define morality and righteousness.

Because from here it looks like you've defined and accepted by god as righteous and everything else as evil. Even if there were a god to do the accepting, that sounds like a pretty shitty set of definitions on god's part.

Not to mention the fact that it completely undermines the Christian doctrine that their god bequeaths morality, an absolute morality, upon us little humans. The Trinitarians who argue that Jesus is God, in one form or another, need to reconcile Jesus's message of turning the other cheek with Yahweh's message of burn the village, rape the women, murder the children.

To my way of thinking, their god cannot expunge, even through a peaceful avatar, the evil he has perpetrated in the Old Testament. As Jesus, he preached forgiveness. As Yahweh, he killed all but seven living humans in a Flood.
