In comparison to the vast sea of presuppositions, some conscious but most not, which underlie all thought .. logic is a very limited and fragile little raft. Logic and rationales are important if one is concerned with keeping to the surface. But I prefer to imagine we are actually creatures adapted to the sea, capable of submerging and resurfacing. There is no need to build a raft to keep afloat.
