But "I am who I am" is not proof of God either. Without a real god to say it, it's just a verse in the Bible. I myself, am who I am. But I doubt an out-of-town bank would take my take my check without a little more than that bald assertion let alone grant that I have supernatural powers. But you're certainly free to believe I'm god if you like, because "I am who I am."
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
