You are quite adept at strawmanning. Maybe you should take more time to actually read what I have written instead of trying to wedge it together and fasion it into a scarecrow of straw.
You pretty much said the Gospels validate the Gospels. Actually, as far as I can tell, that's all you've really had to say thus far.
The thing that troubles me is that many Christians when "debating" their beliefs, must resort to duplicitous tactics. And when you point out that that is basically what you're observing, the argument goes on an endless merry go 'round of "Nah uh! No I didn't..."
And why that's troubling is it illustrates pretty well how Christianity doesn't breed ethics. If you are duplicitous, religion won't change you. So, I've learned from this thread and another one posted by a "Christian" here that they prove why non believers don't trust them. It isn't because they believe different things. It's that most human beings simply don't like to be lied to. The fact that the posters I've observed doing this have no problem misleading non believers, tells me that Christianity is just a label they wear with no meaning behind it. Quoting Scripture on cue and telling people to "find Jesus" isn't what Christianity is about but unfortunately, that is how the majority follow it. Quoting the Bible, judging others and pretending they are superior to non believers. There are very few Mother Teresa's in the world, iow.
Ah well, just another day observing Christianity in action. lol
