The pizza shop owner indicated that she didn't have a problem with interracial couples coming into her business and ordering pizza. However, she would have a problem catering an interracial couple wedding because of her religious beliefs. The compromise: allow her business to continue serving interracial couples and the rest of the public in her establishment, but not forcing her and other business owners of faith to accommodate interracial couple weddings and anything else associated to interracial couple marriage, which would be contrary to their religious beliefs.
Doesn't sound so good now, does it?
Your ignorance of history and the glibness with which you equate the unique and pernicious evil of racism is appalling. The compromise of freedom of association still requires the necessary evil of government intrusion in the case of race. Government intrusion into the free market by means of "Jim Crow" laws actually prevented people from pursuing their best economic interests. However, because the legacy of slavery is such a deep scar and terrorist groups like the KKK, purely market forces would probably not been enough. I'm sure dozens of other pizza joints would be happy to take their money. Besides what are you going to do fine them. Losing business is already a fine imposed by the free market.
Bigotry is bigotry, no matter the reason Chad. The way you race to defend it is more than appalling, it's utterly revolting.

Those are the rules.
Wrong, Woody...

Quote:The amendment to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act released Thursday prohibits service providers from using the law as a legal defense for refusing to provide services, goods, facilities or accommodations. It also bars discrimination based on race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or United States military service.
So....what was the point of the law in the first place?
