I think marriage equality is a great win for secularism
In a country that loves to bang on and on about how "secular" it is, why should Christian values maintain the monopoly on an important civil institution?
Not that 'Murica is "secular" at all though. As has been said before there's more to being secular than just putting it in the constitution, it's a practise and an action.
