They didn't do shit until the weight of the swell was too much for them to ignore. Sure, the usual suspects threw down their protest opinions, but the outcome was a lock.
I don't think this is right. I think the outcome was a lock only because of the makeup of the SCOTUS. Three women, Kennedy and Breyer are the reason why that decision went the way it did.
One more Scalia on that court, and it goes the other way. Two more Scalias, and you can guarantee that any case regarding women's reproductive rights, gay rights, gun laws, or religious 'liberty' will go a predictable way.
