Why are there so many threads about religion on an atheist forum? It's annoying me when i'd like a religion-free zone. =P
So many christians wanting to prove you're wrong.

Because this isn't just a place to avoid religion, that's quite ridiculous if you think about it. You should know this forum isnt exclusive to Atheists, and in fact there are a lot of unregistered viewers who may be believers themself who just view the forums, maybe deciding to join or not. So people definitely come here with questions about religion, being theists or atheists with unanswered questions or leftover religious baggage regarding false realities like afterlife and other supernatural ideas like magic, other realms etc. that some Atheists might not be completely over yet. People generally have questions regarding philosophy which is where religion came from, a kind of bastardization of philosophy. And sometimes when people refuse things like Evolution (which isnt mutually exclusive to religion) they base the refusal on their religious background so it becomes religious no matter what sometimes. If you came here to escape religion you probably didn't make a mistake there but I'm sure you can find some nice, safe, non confrontational threads all over the site.

I'm glad I wasn't there. I might have ended up going to jail.

I'd have gone to jail defending a stranger had I been present.

I'm curious, for those who are lawyers on this forum, what the law believes is justifiable assault?

If someone, without any provocation, get's into your wife's face and calls her a "cunt" among other insults, is slugging said bully considered to be legally justifiable?

Just wondering.
