Noah's Ark

Really? Hippos in Africa kill more humans than alligators. They'd have us believe that animals like that magically ceased to do what they do in nature. They'd have us believe that cobras and dart frogs and black widows were on the ship? NO, THAT IS WHY when you go into some doctor's office there is always that stupid children's bible with cute farm animals.

And if these people would bother to actually read the bible they would KNOW that their are conflicting numbers. Some verses say 2 others say 7. But what about all the animals that didn't make it to the ship?

Lets forget for a second that if there millions of people on the planet, and only one family made it to the ship, even children and babies would have drowned, which is an act of genocide.

Lets forget that for a sec. What would a baby chimp, not one of the two or 7, could ever do to be tortured with such a horrible death? How about someone's puppy in that litter that didn't make it to the ship? Not only cruelty to humans, but cruelty to animals who cannot think like humans so would NOT deserve the death this alleged god would inflict on them if the story were true, which it is not.

The god of the bible treats humans and life as objects, lab rats, toys.

Do you have a question in all of this?

How insane does one have to be to believe in such a story?

In that case, mermaid stories must be proof that there are fish people living in the sea.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

I thought I read once too that some of these flood myths in other cultures have be shown to have been introduced into the culture within the past 500 years by Christian missionaries. Could be wrong though. Not sure where I read that.

Doesn't Christianity have pagan roots too? I mean you would of thought they'd see the irony in that.

Missionaries were always shitting all over indigenous cultures, no question there. In the Americas they had the advantage of disease wiping out 90% of the population before the jesus fucks ever even got there.

Religious belief has little if anything to with intellect or reason. Nor does atheism,if you believe Carl Jung, which I do in this rare instance. (of course there are exceptions.)

I have yet to meet a human being who demonstrates consistent reason or rational thought, about anything.

There is nothing irrational or illogical about most religious beliefs IF YOU ACCEPT THE PREMISE. The arguments are often logically valid syllogisms, based on an an unproven premise, such as the existence a god,and a very specific one at that,as a given.

Characterising all Christians, Muslims or whatever as stupid, ignorant ,crazy or deluded is a common atheist conceit. Perhaps the prejudice comes from the atypical dropkicks who insist on inflicting themselves on atheist forums. Thinking

Do you have a question in all of this?

Do you have any good reason to value a book with such a sick story other than "God can do what he wants" or "He doesn't have to explain himself to us" or "It's their fault for the game he didn't have to set up". or "Poof"

You worship a vindictive motif character. One that doesn't even care that animals are tortured in the flood, not to mention babies and children who could have no clue as to adult beefs.

You are the one that should question what you believe. I already have which is why I am an atheist.
