And you can look at the unimaginable vastness of this incredible universe we live in and still believe it was made just for us.......

It's unimaginable as you said so how do you expect a troglodyte to imagine it?

I know, but I have hopes that just once, one of them will look up and see more than just pretty lights in the sky.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

God made it for His pleasure, who else could enjoy such vast space and all the wonderful thing in that space, we're stuck here on this planet and can see only a small part of what's out there. If we were around for a billion more years we still could not leave this galaxy.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

And is Earth the only planet hosting life or is the universe filled with life?

Guess you never looked at APOD or any of the numerous atlases of the universe. In either case, if that is the only answer you can come up with, I am majorly surprised that you remember to breathe.

Imagine such a poor being that has to create such a complex and vast universe just to look at it and think 'oh my myself I made this so beautiful, it gives me so much pleasure'. That god must be bored as hell.

Also, huge.
