The Brain=Mind Fallacy

RE: The Brain=Mind Fallacy
It's true. Once brain death has occurred, the personality dies and the person comes just a biological machine.

So before brain death a person is something other than a biological machine?

I'm not really following some of the things being said in this thread.

I'll probably regret asking this question...why can't it be said that thoughts are physical?

No.

You have an end goal, I already know what that end goal is.

You want "something" to exist beyond us. You want YOU to live beyond your own body.

You drink Woo like Jim Jones drinks Kool Aid.

Let me spell it out for you, not that I have not already done that.

ONCE YOU ARE DEAD YOU ARE DEAD!

Now, unless Chinese hackers are fucking with both of us, that is not asking you to read War And Peace in 10 seconds.

I cannot help you if you cant face your finite existence, but that is reality.

Just more presumptions, assertions and insults..are you going to engage with the issue of non-physical interaction with the physical or just continue with presumptions, assertions and insults?

DEAD IS NOT A PRESUMPTION! IT IS A FACT!

And as far as insults, don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

"Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions" Thomas Jefferson.

You have NEVER in this thread stated your end goal. All you have tried to argue is that thoughts have no mass. SO THE FUCK WHAT.

When I went to college, when we wrote papers ON ANY FUCKING SUBJECT, there was an outline.

Say what you are going to say
Say it
Say what you said.

The fucking idea was not just to make a statement, BUT TO FUCKING BACK IT UP!

And so far all you have argued is that "thoughts have no weight or mass"

SO THE FUCK WHAT! WHAT IS YOUR POINT?

I know what your point is and that you want to defend woo and magic and don't want to take any of your naked assertions into an independent lab to be verified. So that leaves you with mental masturbation.

It can, that's an option, in fact it's more consistent with materialism. the problem is that it destroys freewill, we basically become automatons, Daniel Dennet agrees, saying freewill is illusory.

It's more than, it's a self-aware being capable of abstract thought.

Indeed science may figure it out once we recognize that the materialist paradigm presents an insurmountable barrier to better understanding. I do not argue against science only the simplistic theories of simple minds.

Oh, I don't think I have any problems with that then. If freewill is an illusion, so be it.

So the fuck what?

Another dodge!

You "Thoughts are not material"

ME "so the fuck what"

YOU HAVE NOT IN THIS ENTIRE THREAD STATED YOUR END GOAL

WHAT IS YOUR POINT?

GET TO THE FUCKING POINT
